It's back and boy do we need it, the 13th Annual Fire and Ice Feast will take place this year and will be held Saturday and Sunday, February 4th and 5th, 2023, in beautiful Buffalo Gap. This is a fundraiser that benefits the Taylor County Volunteer Fire Departments that are in Lawn, Tuscola, Jim Ned, and Moro.

The Fire and Ice Feast to date has raised over $560,000 to benefit our area volunteer Fire Departments. Many of them operate on a very tight budget and equipment that is in dire need of updates or repairs. Nonetheless, the Fire and Ice Feast is where competition cookers come together to feed those who buy a ticket and attend this fun event.

In order to be a successful event, the organizers of the Fire and Ice Feast work with our local communities to get the donations needed like cash donations or item donations. For example, their big raffle item this year is a Ruger American rifle in .308win. caliber with a Thompson Center 3-9x40 power scope, rings, sling, and soft-side gun case.

Tracy asked me to remind you that any and all help is greatly appreciated and that the success of this event will come from because of your generous donations, sponsorships, and auction items.

Let us not forget what this past year brought to our part of Texas with the heat, dry weather, and the raging wildfires that took days, even weeks to put out completely, and we're still not out of the woods yet. So, please open your hearts and pocketbooks and give.
