Blues, Americana, & Texas Country Crooner, Charley Crockett, to Play the Paramount
Abilene gets its fair share of live music, in a variety of genres, but this next show will be one that you shouldn't miss when Charley Crockett (and the Blue Drifters) comes to town.
Crockett is well-known in the Blues, Americana, and Texas Country circles and will be bringing his storytelling to the Historic Paramount Theater on Thursday, August 25th.
While Crockett's latest album, Jukebox Charley, is a collection of covers, his way of storytelling with his originals and covers is incomparable.
Sad, uplifting, hard, and sweet, complex and delicate all at once, his songs are like life its own self, just like the songs’ creator: like nothing you’ve heard or seen before, a genuine Texas original. [AEG]
Tickets go on sale at 10 am on Friday, June 10th, and can be purchased online here.
If you haven't seen Charley Crockett and the Blue Drifters before, then you're in for a real treat.

Abilene has some really cool venues, but I'm really stoked that this show will be at the Paramount. It's absolutely the perfect setting for a Charley Crockett concert. After you attend the show, you'll agree with me 100%.
Oh yeah, that last name may sound familiar and according to his Wikipedia page, Charley IS a distant relative of the one and only, Davey Crockett, and is 100% Texan.
