Abilene’s Paramount Theatre Presents Youth Musical “The Wizard of Oz’ January 14-16
Abilene's historic Paramount Theatre is presenting its annual youth musical, The Wizard of Oz, on January 14-16, 2021 at 7:30 PM.
This is a lighthearted musical romp put on by community kid actors, and shouldn't be missed if you have a heart or a brain.

Tickets to see The Wizard of Oz — Young Performers Edition are $15 each general admission for all three performances. You can purchase them prior to the show here.
In accordance with new community health guidelines, the Paramount Theatre will be enforcing social distancing within the theater, capping audiences to 400 tickets per performance, and the wearing of masks at all times in the building except when seated.
The Wizard of Oz marks 20 years of the Paramount Theatre's commitment to promoting and encouraging live theatre in the Abilene community for kids. Past productions have included beloved stories like Frozen Jr., Disney's The Jungle Book Kids, Little Mermaid Jr., and Beauty and the Beast Jr.
Based on the L. Frank Baum fantasy novel and 1939 musical film of the same name, The Wizard of Oz follows young Dorothy and her dog Toto.
When a tornado magically plants her house in the fantasy land of Oz, Dorothy finds herself on a mission to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West and return home to Kansas, with the help of colorful characters like the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and the Scarecrow.
