The Paramount Theatre Proudly Welcomes the Return of Lyle Lovett Live
The historic Paramount Theatre recently welcomed Grammy Award winner Lyle Lovett who performed live. The concert was so successful that it sold out. If you missed that concert, get ready because Lyle is coming back on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
Whether you've seen Lyle Lovette live with his Large Band, his acoustic show, or his newer shows with his pared-down version of his Large Band, needless to say, the show is absolutely incredible. His trimmed-down band still includes a collection of well-known musicians, spotlighting string players like Leland Sklar, Jeff White, and Luke Bulla.
While Lyle Lovette has had an extremely successful career in the country music genre he has also made his way into the pop charts and won there as well. The most popular hit on the country charts was "She's No Lady" (She's My Wife) in 1989, a rather comical song about "the preacher asked her and she said I do, then the preacher asked me, and she said yes he does too." Winning several awards that year.
In 1995 Lovett once again cleaned up on county music awards with his collaboration with Asleep at the Wheel with the song "Blues For Dixie." That same year Lyle went on to climb the pop charts with the song "Funny How Time Splis Away" featuring a collaboration with R&B/Pop-Star Al Green.
The Paramount recently posted that: Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. The Texas native has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant and iconic performers. Lovett recently released his latest album titled "12th of June." Produced by Chuck Ainlay and Lovett, "12th of June" is a mix of new originals, including previously released singles “12th of June” and “Pants Is Overrated,”. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the new album continues to fuse elements of jazz, country, western swing, folk, gospel, blues, and pop in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers.
