This Saturday, July 11th is Teddy Bear Day at the Abilene Zoo. Children 12 and under who bring a Teddy Bear (or other stuffed animal) with them will get free entry into the zoo.
The Abilene Zoo has a gift for one of it's most popular animals. Havar the white tiger will be moving into his newly remodeled exhibit Friday August 29th. Zoo Director Bill Gersonde says improvements include a new larger pool, a cave to provide shade and new landscaping both in and around Havar's exhibit. The public is encouraged to come see how Havar takes to his new home.
