Need a Good Paying Job? Texas Leads the Nation in Job Creation
Texas Tops Job Creation Charts
I shared how Texas leads the nation in job creation on my recent radio show. While traveling the Big Country, I’ve noticed hiring signs everywhere, whether at the local grocery store, convenience store, or even at Hendrick Medical Center. If you’re actively looking, there’s no shortage of job opportunities. If you’re on the job hunt in Texas and haven’t found anything, you might not be looking in the right places.
Texas continues to set the pace for job creation in the United States, leading the nation with more than 327,400 new jobs added between September 2023 and September 2024, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). With job openings in nearly every sector, there's something for everyone.
Why Texas is Booming
Governor Greg Abbott has proudly emphasized the Texas workforce's and employers' success, stating that “Texas continues to dominate as America’s jobs engine.” He credits the state’s business-friendly environment, diverse workforce, and the freedom to innovate as major drivers of economic growth. In fact, under Governor Abbott’s leadership, Texas has added over 2.4 million jobs, marking an unprecedented milestone in the state's history.
Opportunities are Everywhere
For job seekers, Texas offers an abundance of opportunities. Whether you're walking into a local convenience store or browsing the Texas Workforce Commission’s online job board, there’s likely a position waiting for you. Governor Abbott also pointed out that businesses from other states, burdened by over-regulation, are relocating to Texas for its competitive business advantages.
Building a Bigger, Better Texas
So, if you’re in the market for a new job, there’s no need to look far. Texas is bustling with opportunities, and your next career move might just be around the corner. Governor Abbott and the hardworking Texans have made sure of that, leading the way for a bigger, better Texas.
