Why This Texas Educator’s Arrest Should Terrify Every Parent
Here we go again, as police authorities right here in our very own city of Abilene, Texas, arrested another one of those people I call a "child predator." What's even more shocking is the fact that authorities believe that there are more victims throughout West Texas who have yet to speak up.

Texas DPS and Homeland Security Investigators Need Your Help
Texas State Police, along with Homeland Security investigators, already have evidence and a case building, however, the investigators need our help in finding the other victims here in the Key City and throughout the Lone Star State. DPS says if you know something, say something by contacting them.
Arrest Made In Abilene
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigations Division, working with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), announced an arrest made in Abilene, Texas, of Robert Jerome Custer, 56 years old. He was taken into custody on Friday, August 15, 2025, on a federal charge of accessing child pornography.
Custer Worked in Texas Schools
Custer previously worked as an educator and counselor in several Texas communities, including Palestine, Barksdale, Kingsville, and Abilene, Texas. Authorities have confirmed that Robert Custer was not employed as a teacher or counselor at the time of his arrest.
Investigators Seek More Victims
Law enforcement believes there may be additional, unreported victims from Custer’s time as a teacher or camp counselor. DPS and the Texas Rangers are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
