Relay for Life is coming up April 24th but teams are being formed right now to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. I have formed my team, The Paper M'Shay's, and you can help by joining my team or by making a donation to my team.

I am a cancer survivor so the walk mean a lot to me and my family. Over the last 3 years, since my diagnosis, I have had many other friends being diagnosed with cancer as well. It is a disease that we have to find a cure for and that can't be done without funding.

Donations aren't only for research but it also goes to help fund things like hotel stays when patients have to travel, gas, food and more. Just a $35 donation can help provide information and support for two people who are facing cancer, a $50 donation can provide lodging for someone who has to travel out of town for treatment. However, every little bit helps.

You may be wondering where I came up with the name 'Paper M'Shay' and the truth is I didn't; my boyfriend did. When I was at one of my doctors appointments I had to wear a little half paper gown. He brings humor to everything and therefore named me Paper M'Shay. He also was the one to shave my head when I began losing my hair. That was an event in itself! See the photo above for one of many looks as he took joy in his duties. This was my 'Mohicans' look. You just have to laugh and make the best of the situation at hand and that's what we did.

If you would like to join my team, make a donation to my team or even form your own team I encourage your support and thank you in advance.
