It's planting season once again and this year you can give your home that 'professionally landscaped' look, with help from the Abilene Public Library and Scott Warren, director of landscape and grounds at Abilene Christian University. The theme for this years workshop is, “Put Color into Your Landscape.” By using a wide variety of low maintenance perennials and annuals, Warren says he'll show you some easy ideas and shortcuts that help in keeping a well maintained landscape looking great.

If you think it's impossible to put together beautiful landscaping on a minimal budget, think again. Scott Warren will teach you the secrets of  how to make your little piece of America look like you spent a lot of money on your landscaping. The workshop will also address the question of 'how to add lots of color to the landscape in both high-sun or no-sun ares with relatively little expense and labor?”

Warren says “The right landscape plan takes into consideration many factors, your personal tastes, the size and architecture of the home, existing structures and the amount of time one has to spend in maintaining the landscape. These are just some things to take into consideration.”
