What the Heck Was Bill Murray Wearing at the Pebble Beach Golf Tournament?

It was a pretty epic weekend of golf at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, with Phil Mickelson destroying Tiger Woods on the final day to take the $1,152,000 first prize.

But the big star at Pebble Beach was Bill Murray, like he always is.

The golf tournament is a pro-am, meaning pros get paired with amateurs.  Murray has been playing Pebble Beach as an amateur for 20 years, even winning the pro-am portion of the contest last year with PGA golfer D.A. Points.

This year Murray decided to channel Carl Spackler, everybody’s favorite gopher hating caddy and one of Murray’s most famous roles. So he dressed in a camouflage ghillie suit, to remind everybody of the famous ‘Caddyshack’ character.

This is far from the first time Murray has been at his most entertaining at Pebble Beach. Here he is about ten years ago interacting with the crowd before he tees off.

Here’s Murray in 2007, hula hooping. Not your typical golf behavior, but awesome when Bill does it.

In 2010, Murray was playing on a bum knee that would later require surgery. But that didn’t stop him from pulling gag after gag.

Check out Murray talking about winning the 2011 pro-am below. Look forward to next year, Bill!
