Actor Bill Murray is a longstanding country fan, and he got the opportunity to prove it this weekend (Friday, April 27) when he joined country star Chris Young onstage during the 2018 Caddy Shack Charity Golf Tournament, an annual event which takes place in St. Augustine, Fla. The pair offered a vigorous rendition of Marty Robbins' 1959 classic, "El Paso." Readers can play above to check it out.

"That song has no chorus. It's literally different words all the way for the entire song," Young told the crowd as Murray walked onstage, by way of explaining why he was pulling up the lyrics on his phone. Murray seemed to have the whole thing memorized, however, belting out a flawless delivery of the country classic without so much as glancing down at the lyrics.

For his part, Young appeared to be as big a fan of Murray's as everyone else in the room. Barely able to hold back giddy giggles as he sang, he ended the performance by bowing down to Murray, then giving him a hug. Afterwards, he summed up his feelings on the performance with a succinct Twitter post:

Young has had plenty to be excited about this year, as he recently celebrated his 10th No. 1 hit single, "Losing Sleep." The country star marked that milestone with a $10,000 donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, as a way of giving back to the community that had afforded him so much success. Charitable donations have long been a part of Young's career, and in 2017, he championed a GoFundMe campaign to aid in relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Harvey. While Murray and Young had fun goofing off onstage, the Caddy Shack Charity Golf Tournament has an important message behind it: Murray and his five brothers created the annual event in order to partner with various charities focused on providing medical and educational services as well as life-saving equipment and fundraising opportunities.
