Most Wanted Texas Fugitive Finally Caught & is Back in Police Custody

One of Texas’ most wanted fugitives is finally off the streets. Armando Flores Aguilar, 69, was captured in Houston after months of being on the run. First off  Armando  is a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico and had been wanted out of Bastrop County since September  last year for aggravated sexual assault of a child. Thanks to someone that "said something because they knew something' (aka: an Anonymous Crime Stoppers tip) helped several law enforcement agencies, including the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Texas Highway Patrol, and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, he  was located and arrested on Friday night Valentine's Day.

A Fugitive’s Capture

What's more sad about this story is that Aguilar Was once arrested and removed from the United States back in 1999, but somehow he managed to get back into the United States  In early 2024. In May of 2024, he was  arrested again by the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office for continuous sexual abuse and assault of a child under 14 years old. Despite the seriousness of the charges, he was released on bond  within several days and then disappeared.  Aguilar was on the "Texas Top-10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List" as far back as late May of 2024. thanks to an anonymous tip  Armando Aguilar was arrested on Friday, February 14th when a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies tracking him down in Houston.
