Texas Blue Bell Ice Cream Fans Are Excited Over the Return of Tin Roof
I called my friend Jerry Don Black while I was on the air yesterday because I had heard that Blue Bell was bringing back an old-time favorite. Jerry Don happens to be the head honcho for Blue Bell distribution throughout the entire west Texas area. Jerry Don said "an old-time favorite is coming back for a very limited time" to which I replied "vanilla or chocolate?" He said Tin Roof
By the way, it was flying off the shelves today at the grocery store, you would think that Blue Bell's most popular and favorite ice cream is their Tin Roof flavor ice cream. I saw one lady grab three half-gallon containers as if there was a shortage of Blue Bell Tin Roof ice cream. It's a fact that the last time Tin Roof was made by Blue Bell was in 2019.
Fast-forward to 2023, and my friends the popular Tin Roof flavor is back for a limited time only. While this popular flavor has been around for several decades, it wasn't until the age-old Blue Bell factory in Brenham, Texas made it that it caught the attention of all Texans, and now it's our Texas flavor and our Texas Treat.
One other fascinating fact is that Tin Roof is the most requested flavor by ice cream fans across the Lone Star State. The ice cream is a vanilla-flavored ice cream base add to that a rich chocolate sundae sauce, plus perfectly roasted peanuts that have been dipped in dark chocolate, and that my friend is the recipe for Blue Bell's awesome Tin Roof ice cream. Please beware if you have a peanut allergy.
What is the most popular ice cream in Texas?
I absolutely love how they decorated the container with a gold-colored tin roof pattern that is very reminiscent of the early 1900s across the state of Texas. However, the question still remains what is the "most popular ice cream in Texas?" If you're thinking vanilla or chocolate they're close simply because they sell a lot of vanilla and chocolate ice cream in Texas.
However, the most popular flavor for Texans, year-round is technically not ice cream but rather their flavorful Rainbow Sherbet. More interestingly enough Rainbow Sherbet is also the most popular in Montana, Arkansas, and Kansas too. Three states with good taste. So if you want to try it, you had better hurry it's only out for a short time and remember that the "Valentine's Day" flavors are due out soon. Enjoy!
