West Texas Gun and Blade Shows Seems to be Getting Bigger

The Silver Spur Gun and Blade Show Returns to Abilene in February

With spring right around the corner and outdoor enthusiasts gearing up for activities like the Rehab Clay Shoot and spring bird hunting season, the Silver Spur Gun and Blade Show is making its way back to Abilene on February 22nd and 23rd at the Taylor County Coliseum. Known as the Big Gun Show, this event has grown significantly, offering West Texans a premier marketplace for firearms, knives, ammo, purses, holsters, home decor, military clothing, hunting, camping, and outdoor gear.

A Bigger and Better Venue for Abilene's Gun Enthusiasts

For years, the Silver Spur Gun and Blade Show has been an annual highlight for collectors, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts. Promoters Kim and Monty Sansom previously held the show in the Display Building, but as Monty explained at the last event, they’ve outgrown that space and are now making the Taylor County Coliseum their permanent home for the Abilene show.

Kim added, “The last several shows at the coliseum have been incredibly successful for our vendors. Abilene and West Texas are ready for bigger and better shows, and we’ve seen a huge increase in attendance and vendor participation. At our last show, we had over 100 vendors, and we expect even more this time around.”
