Logan Mize - Shay's Spotlight Artist of the Week

Logan Mize is a name you may not be familiar with just yet but you've more than likely seen him and just didn't know it. Logan is a singer/songwriter and guitarist and he has begun to carve out his own little niche in the music scene.Logan's current single 'Can't Get Away From a Good Time' is heading up the charts (see video below) and can be found on his debut album Nobody in Nashville. He's caught the attention of critics and even other artists, like LeAnn Rimes; he even opened her shows on her European tour.

He's also shared the stage with big guns like Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, Blake Shelton and more. That's a big deal for a guy from Wichita Kansas. On top of that he's also done a little acting. He was featured in the 'Fabric of Our Life' cotton commercials with actress Hayden Panettiere. Then he played himself in an episode of the CW's drama Hart of Dixie with Rachel Bilson. Logan says it was great exposure and a lot of fun.

His music, like his taste, is eclectic. It's country with a little edge. He names everybody from Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson to Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots as influences. He says he has no bias when it comes to music, if it sounds good he listens to it.

You can see Logan soon when he brings his talent to Abilene as the opening act for the Attorney Jon Hanna -Taste of Country Christmas Concert with Dustin Lynch on November 13th.
