Lubbock wine lovers are sure to enjoy this special summer class offered by a local winery.

Llano Estacado is currently selling spots for people to join their Sommelier Summer School, a three month, six class program where you can learn the ins and outs of wine tasting, making, and pairing from sommelier Matt Bostick.

It is a limited experience, only allowing 20 participants, and it will run you $350 per person for the whole course. This includes the wine, classes, educational material, and a special wine tasting kit.

This is Llano Estacado’s overview of the class:

"Join us for an exclusive summer wine education series hosted by renowned Sommelier Matt Bostick. Dive into the world of wines with an emphasis on the unique offerings of Llano Estacado. This series is perfect for wine enthusiasts looking to deepen their knowledge and appreciation for fine wines."

There are two classes a month, starting June 15th from 1-5:00 p.m. You will start with an intro to wine tasting, then move into white wines, then red wines, then how wine is made, advanced tasting techniques, and finally, a wine pairing class with a live cooking and pairing demonstration with a local chef.

After completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion, signed by Sommelier Matt Bostick.

This seems like a fun summer activity for wine lovers to learn more about the drink they enjoy and get to experience something unique to Lubbock with local professionals. More information is available on their Event Brite page.
