For the uninitiated, Giovannie & The Hired Guns are both a beloved regional live act and a highly-successful rock tour-de-force that you won't want to miss. Frontman Giovannie Yanez started writing songs in his late teens and formed the band while working in a pawn shop in Stephenville, Texas. The early days of low-paying gigs and long nights earned the band a reputation for their electric live shows and built them a loyal following online and on the road.

Part of Gio & The Guns' appeal stems from the sheer variety of influences in their sound — you'll hear elements of Latin hip-hop, la musica nortena, stoner metal, Southern rock, and maybe a bit of Texas country. That same appeal has sustained their online listening, with Rooster Tattoo from the band's debut album racking up almost 4 million streams on Spotify. You can listen to that single below.

The group has shared the stage with heavy hitters in Texas and Red Dirt radio, like Kody West and the Read Southhall Band. Gio & The Guns also opened for the platinum-selling country megastar Jason Aldean in front of 36,000 people at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.
