Family Fun Saturdays at NCCIL Help Kids Explore Their Creative Side
Any opportunity to stimulate a kids' brain during the weekend is good. Parents, don't forget there's a way that kids can have fun this summer in an educational setting at The National Center For Children's Illustrated Literature (NCCIL). Every Saturday afternoon, the NCCIL hosts "Family Fun Saturdays".
This is a very informal workshop that the kids will enjoy no matter what age group they fall under. and NCCIL's art educators help kids create a work of art using the style and medium of the featured artist in the gallery. There's a different project each Saturday, so kids will get to create a new work of art every weekend.

More Information
Family Fun Saturdays at NCCIL are "come and go", so it's no big deal if you're running late, or have younger kids who may not want to stay for the whole 3 hours. My favorite part is that the kiddos get to bring their awesome works of art home, to be proudly displayed. Also, this isn't just a summer event. The NCCIL will be having Family Fun Saturdays for the foreseeable future.
