Watch a Beheaded Snake Bite Itself

Beware of a snake that you might think is deemed harmless because its head has been chopped off. This video proves that a snake can still bite long after it's dead. Interestingly, this is a copperhead that bites itself.

I recently attended a family reunion out in the country where a relative shot and killed a copperhead snake that was under a kids picnic bench. Two-hours later I witnessed the snake still squirming.

As weather continues to warm up and family gatherings take place, exercise extreme caution when in the great outdoors. Due to our mild winter, more snakes are being found in near proximity of our living spaces.
