Like most women I am a sucker for shoes; and NO you can never have too many! I have probably have 50 pairs of shoes and that's probably a low guess. I have tennis shoes, boots, sandals, dress shoes, house shoes, hurt my feet but look cute shoes, and shoes still in the box. You have to have shoes for every outfit and event and season. Walk With Pride is an annual program that helps provide a new pair of back-to-school shoes for Big Country students. 'Walk With Pride' is a cooperative effort of the Salvation Army and the Abilene Association of Realtors. The program has been going on for over 25 years and is available to all children ages 4 through 12 years of age, the kids must be enrolled in head-start thru the 5th grade. Here's how to apply.

The saga begins a few weeks ago, when my little princess asked me for some new "Bella Ballerina Skechers" that she saw on TV. It was on one of those kid channels. The next time the commercial comes on, she DVR's it, and summons me to sit and watch it, several times. That's when I challenged her, that if she wants those shoes she needs to do a long list of chores and complete the list by the end of the week. I'm thinking, I am going to save some bucks here, 'cause she can't get all this done, right?
