Diamond Rio

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a blog about Diamond Rio coming to the Lone Star State to play a concert at Billy Bob's Texas and questioned whether it would be 'Country' or 'Christian' music concert. While researching for that blog I ran across Diamond Rio's music video 'Meet in the Middle.' The song debut in 1991 and the band became the first group in the history of country music to have a debut single reach No. 1. I checked out the video and wham! Like a 2x4 between the eyes. Five dudes with very pronounced mullets.

Diamond Rio is coming back to Billy Bob's Texas on Saturday May 11th. The last time Diamond Rio played Billy Bob's was July 4th 2009. Since then the group shifted their music styling to more of a Country Christian genre. They've also won several Dove awards and (after 13 nominations) a Grammy for their work on the country christian album 'The Reason.' My question is "what kind of music will Diamond Rio play at the worlds largest honky-tonk?"

Diamond Rio, the Christian country music group, celebrate 20 years since 'Close to the Edge' was released. The album came out on October 27, 1992, via Arista. It was the six-piece group's second album, and it followed the sonic style of their debut.
