The Little Masterpieces Art Show is back this year as the Artist members of The Center for Contemporary Arts (TCCA) have created their 'Little Masterpieces' to fill your Christmas stockings. These little works of art make great gifts and all the art is affordable with some pieces starting at only $35. This fundraiser for The Center is scheduled for December 7th, with the reception starting at 5:30

We've been mourning the sad loss of 'Calvin and Hobbes' ever since cartoonist Bill Watterson stopped producing the beloved comic strip in 1995. But apparently the strip hasn't gone completely forgotten, since a piece of original 'Calvin and Hobbes' artwork recently broke a record at auction by selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

This makes a lot of sense -- it's a sculpture of Honey Boo Boo, made out of 25 pounds of garbage. We see some I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, and a box of spaghetti. Looks like maybe some Snuggie packaging is in there too. The Geek Art Contest was held during August Art Walk at the Center For Contemporary Arts (CCA) in downtown Abilene. First off what is "Geek Art?"
