As we are amid the 2023 Christmas season, I thought about celebrating "12 Days of Christmas". Then it hit me, why not celebrate our very own "12 Days of Texas"? You know, just like the song only, we Texans account for the blessings we've received in the Lone Star State.

Okay, the "Twelve Days of Christmas" song has some stuff I'm not all too familiar with. But I do know some history about Texas. I'm not sure how accurate these information is that I've included, but I thought it would be fun to write. Here is my attempt to pen "The Twelve Days of Texas".

On the first day of Texas, the good Lord blessed us with...One Lone Star that we placed on the Texas Flag. “Texas” comes from the Caddo Native American word "teja" which means “friends”, or at least that's what I've been taught.
