Larry Gatlin of "Gatlin Brothers" fame and country singer/songwriter Billy Dean wrote a song out of anger. Larry says that Johnny Cash once told him "if something makes you mad enough, you'll damn sure write a song about it." The song is called "An American With A Remington" written out of their anger about the recent ISIS beheadings. Check it out.
Tonight President Obama took to the national airwaves for a rare prime-time address to describe what America's response would be to the Islamic State (aka ISIL or ISIS), the terrorist group that has taken over parts of Syria and Iraq, and also beheaded two American journalists.
On Wednesday night, President Obama will give a televised address to inform the country of his administration's long-term strategy regarding the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, the barbaric militant group that has taken over parts of the Middle East.
UPDATE (8/16): Gov. Perry addressed Friday's indictments in a short press conference, today. "We don’t settle political differences with indictments in this country," he said. "It is outrageous that some would use partisan political theatrics to rip away at the very fabric of our state’s constitution. This indictment amounts to nothing more than abuse of power and I cannot and I will not allow that to happen." Perry further added: "I intend to fight against those who would erode our state’s constitution and laws purely for political purposes and I intend to win."
Stephen Colbert takes issues with a lot of things on 'The Colbert Report' -- old people making new friends, the Second Amendment, and graphics that aren't blatantly American enough. The funnyman is also permanently on edge when it comes to the possibility that Hillary Clinton will run for president and her constant name-dropping, especially as it litters her new book, 'Hard Choices.' It's just egregious! How can she possibly have so many friends? And when does she find the time to hang out with all of them?
