Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at Clyde’s Festival by the Lake
Some of my favorite Fourth of July memories have been made at Clyde's Festival by the Lake. Every year, I load up my broadcast gear, grab my daughter Angie, unfold our Buc-ee's lawn chairs, and head to Clyde Lake to spend the day visiting with listeners, friends, and families from across the Big Country.

I'm excited to be back again this year, broadcasting live from one of my favorite Independence Day celebrations, and I hope you'll make plans to join us as America celebrates its 250th birthday.
A Hometown Celebration for Everyone
Festival by the Lake is all about bringing neighbors, families, and visitors together for a fun-filled day at Clyde Lake. Admission is free, although donations are gratefully accepted, and there is a $10 cooler charge if you're bringing your own cooler.
Bring your lawn chairs, find a comfortable spot, and enjoy a full day of family fun featuring live entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, swimming at the lake, and a spectacular fireworks show to end the evening. Caleb Sutton is among the entertainers scheduled to perform, with more live music throughout the celebration.
Supporting Those Who Serve Our Communities
One of the best reasons to attend this year's festival is knowing that your support benefits the Clyde and Tuscola Volunteer Fire Departments.
These dedicated volunteers answer the call whenever our communities need them, responding to fires, accidents, emergencies, and natural disasters throughout the year. This celebration gives all of us an opportunity to give something back while enjoying one of the best Fourth of July traditions in the Big Country.
A Community Effort
There's something special about spending the Fourth of July at Clyde Lake. Maybe it's the slower pace, the friendly faces, or the way neighbors welcome visitors like old friends. Every year when Angie and I unfold our Buc-ee's lawn chairs, take a deep breath, and settle in for the afternoon, we're reminded that some of life's best memories aren't made at the biggest events, they're made in hometown communities like Clyde.
As America celebrates its 250th birthday, I can't think of a better place to spend part of the holiday than with a community that welcomes everyone while supporting the volunteer firefighters who are always there when we need them most.
Special thanks go to the local sponsors helping make this year's Festival by the Lake possible: Callahan Leather, Platinum Collision, Wild West Construction, and Blake Fullinwider of Clyde. Their support, along with community volunteers and generous donations, helps keep this hometown tradition alive for everyone to enjoy.
Come Celebrate With Us
If you've never experienced Clyde's Festival by the Lake, this is the perfect year to start a new family tradition. If you've been before, then you already know why so many families return year after year.
I'll be broadcasting live from Clyde Lake, so stop by, say hello, and celebrate America's 250th birthday with us. Bring your lawn chairs, bring the family, and enjoy a day of great music, delicious food, hometown hospitality, and an unforgettable fireworks show while supporting two outstanding volunteer fire departments.
I'll see you at Clyde's Festival by the Lake.
