The Texas Tech Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is gearing up during the month of July by putting together some very interesting and popular workshops. These workshops are geared to answer many of the questions you may have and also put you on the right track for starting your own small business.

The Small Business Development Center also teaches the do's and don'ts, the rights and wrongs, accounting skills, and how to maintain strong business ethics. I personally have been working with the Small Business Development Center teaching me the correct paths to take when it comes to starting my own small business.

Recently Texas was recognized for two things: one was for being the best state in the "U.S. for Women-Owned Small Businesses." The second one was "The Best State In America To Start A New Business." If you want to start a successful business, start it in the Lone Star State.

To learn more about the Abilene SBDC July Workshops visit their website to find out how to register for all the upcoming events. These are just a few of the business workshops that will help you maintain and/or get you started in the right direction for owning your own business.

West Texas is very fortunate to have the Texas Tech Small Business Development Center otherwise known as the SBDC. The Small Business Development Center is an organization that is supported by Texas Tech University, the Development Corporation of Abilene (DCOA), and the Small Business Administration (SBA).

For more information call (325) 670-0300. If you've ever dreamed of owning your own business or need to improve your small business the SBDC is here to help.
