Zach and Colton Swon were born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and have been performing since they were children. They toured with their parents who were also artists; gospel group Exodus. A few years later the boys started calling themselves the Swon Brothers and were playing various venues. In 2007 they auditioned for American Idol, then in 2013 they auditioned for Season 4 of The Voice. Three of the 4 judges wanted them but they stuck with Blake Shelton as their mentor throughout the show. They eventually ended the show in third place.

They released a couple of independent albums early on and then a professionally recorded album, but it wasn't until after their Voice performance that they were signed to a record deal with Arista Nashville. The first single off of their album was released in December of 2013. That album is set to be released mid-October of this year.
