Texas is Big on Artificial Intelligence, But Is That Real Smart?
I say this loud and proud: Texans are a lot smarter than we let on. And when it comes to Artificial Intelligence (AI), I truly believe that Texas leads the way. The Lone Star State is home to several universities - prestigious schools like the University of Texas at Austin, Rice University, and Texas A&M University - that are guiding our society in AI programs. UT has been conducting AI research, studies, and education since the 1960s.
I've been saying for quite some time artificial intelligence is "not real, smart", based on the breakdown and definitions of the words "artificial" (not real) and "intelligence" (smart). By combining these meanings, it can be inferred that artificial intelligence is "not real smart".
With that cleared up, this interpretation may not accurately capture the essence of AI. AI refers to the development and use of computer systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. Thus the reason for this article, which is now going to be written by AI to see how it does. Here we go.
The AI written article
AI contains various technologies, algorithms, and techniques that enable machines to perceive, reason, learn, and make decisions. Thus, AI can be considered as "real smart" in terms of its ability to mimic or replicate certain aspects of human intelligence.
However, it is important to note that this interpretation is oversimplified and does not fully capture the complexity and capabilities of true AI systems. Modern artificial intelligence involves the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that would typically require human intelligence, such as problem-solving, decision-making, and learning.
While AI may not possess the same form of intelligence as humans, it can still exhibit smart behavior and provide valuable solutions in various domains.
Furthermore, AI can generate content on specific subjects, including writing about AI itself. Language models, such as GPT-3, are examples of AI systems capable of generating human-like text based on the provided information. These models learn from a massive amount of text data and can produce coherent, contextually relevant compositions.
In summary, while AI may be artificial and different from human intelligence, it can still exhibit smart behavior and generate text or insights on topics like artificial intelligence.

Even toward the end of the AI written piece, AI continues to sell itself as "it can still exhibit smart behavior." nonetheless, I think AI is good and I'm proud of the fact that Texas leads the way in artificial intelligence.
