Experience Western Swing Music At The Big Country Christmas Ball
A Classic West Texas Night of Music, Dancing, and Giving Back
When my friend “Downtown Karla Brown” tipped me off about this event, I knew immediately it was something special. On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the West Texas Rehabilitation Center is bringing the Big Country Christmas Ball back to Snyder, Texas, and they’re bringing one of the most legendary names in Texas music with them.

From 7 PM to midnight, the WTC Coliseum (900 E Coliseum Dr.) transforms into a Texas dancehall straight out of the Bob Wills era. Tickets are just $25 and can be purchased at the door, and table sponsorships can be reserved by calling 325-793-3508. Coolers are welcome (just no glass!), and concessions will be handled by Le Tejania.
This isn’t just a concert, it’s a true West Texas Christmas tradition with a purpose.
Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys Carry On the Legend
If you grew up loving Western swing, then the name Bob Wills already hits you right in the soul. The Texas Playboys have been around for nearly 90 years, helping shape what we now call Texas music. Today, the band continues under the phenomenal leadership of Jason Roberts, a Grammy-winning fiddle player, vocalist, and long-time member of the Playboys revival.
Roberts has spent decades keeping Bob Wills’ spirit alive with that unmistakable blend of swing, fiddle-driven energy, and pure Texas charm. If you’ve never two-stepped to this band live, get ready, they sound as close to the original Texas Playboys as any group ever has. This show alone is worth the drive.
Why This Night Matters: Supporting the West Texas Rehab Center
The West Texas Rehabilitation Center isn’t just another non-profit, it’s one of the most respected and impactful organizations in the region. Known for offering physical therapy, speech therapy, audiology, hospice care, orthotics, prosthetics, and more, they treat children, adults, and seniors regardless of financial situation.
The Rehab Center has helped thousands of West Texans regain mobility, recover from injuries, overcome disabilities, and maintain independence. Events like the Big Country Christmas Ball fund these life-changing services.
So when you buy a ticket, you’re not just going dancing, you’re helping families right here in the Big Country.
A Night You Won’t Want to Miss
West Texas music. West Texas generosity. And a dance floor full of folks celebrating the season the way we do it out here, with fellowship, fiddles, and a whole lot of heart.
Mark your calendar for December 13. I’ll see you in Snyder for a night of Texas swing, Christmas cheer, and a cause worth dancing for.
