The Boot News Roundup: Rascal Flatts Join CRS 2020 Speaker Lineup + More

Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney, better known as superstar country trio Rascal Flatts, will share the secrets behind their success on a panel at the 2020 Country Radio Seminar. According to a press release, the group will appear at a discussion and Q&A session called Rascal Flatts: 20 Years of Country Success on Feb. 19. "Rascal Flatts’ indelible mark on Country music for the past two decades makes this a must-see event for CRS 2020," says CRS Board of Directors President Kurt Johnson (who is also an executive at Townsquare Media, which owns The Boot). "Gary, Jay and Joe Don are among the greatest legends of our genre, and their stories will be riveting."

In 2020, Chris Stapleton will hold a benefit concert for his home state of Kentucky. Called A Concert For Kentucky: An Outlaw State of Kind Benefit, the event is set for April 25 at the University of Kentucky's Kroger Field in Lexington, and will feature performances by Stapleton, Willie Nelson, Yola and Sheryl Crow. Proceeds from the show will benefit Chris and Morgane Stapleton's Outlaw State of Kind Fund, an organization that provides grants to further music and arts education. Tickets for the show go on sale on Oct. 11 via Stapleton's official fan club.

Ben Lovett of folk group Mumford & Sons has plans to open a new live music venue in London, England. According to Billboard, Lovett's newest venture, called Lafayette @ Goods Way, will "host live music performances, as well as club nights and 'bespoke one-off events.'" It's Lovett's second music venue in London, joining Omeara @ Flat Irons Square, which opened in 2016. Lafayette @ Goods Way is set to open in February.
