There are some beautiful homes in Abilene, and then there are some gorgeous homes in Abilene. However, it's a bit different when the home that you're looking at was built for the builder that was building it.

When it's a custom-built home for the builder, you know that nothing is going to be left out and everything wonderful was included. When you first look at this charming cottage your heart will melt, because the builder thought of everything, including an outdoor (just outside the main suite) fireplace.

This is the kind of home that you want to go buy for yourself right after winning the lottery. That said, let's take a look at this incredible property that is being handled by Lindsay Hall with Compass Re Texas, Llc. The photos by LakeKover Photography are simply beautiful.

This home is located in far southeast Abilene in what's known as the Vaquero Ranch Estates. This beautiful mansion was built by one of Abilene's top custom builders, Perry Stockard of Perry Stockard Custom Built Homes.

The Cottage on La Hacienda sits on nearly 2.5 acres with what seems to be an incredible national forest-like backyard retreat. The home even has its own private lake that comes completely stocked with perch, bass, and catfish.

Let's talk about amenities, Perry Stockard didn't stop at "a remarkable backyard" he even included an infinity pool, a spa, and a waterfall to help you stay cool during the hot Texas summer months.

You'll notice in the photo gallery that the front of the house is built with solid old quarry rock and then Perry switched to red brick in the backyard area giving the home somewhat of a modern-day feeling. Inside, Stockard seemed to lean more toward old European carved wooden beams and textured walls giving the home a very comfortable feeling.

Personally, I think the home is worth $1.6 million however, I don't have $1.6 million and don't know what it feels like to live like you're on a resort vacation every day of your life. Nonetheless, this home is beautiful and if I ever hit the lottery I am so there.
