Don’t Miss the Fun and Fascinating Fort Griffin Fandangle Musical
The 85th Annual Fort Griffin Fandangle in Albany is from June 16th through June 24th. The Fandangle is a community production that brings the people in and around Albany together, to tell the true story and history of the life and times of Fort Griffin.
The Fandangle is the best and oldest outdoor musical in the Lone Star State. This production is based on the true-life struggles of early settlers in the Albany area and Fort Griffin. The show includes covered wagons, buggies, horses, cattle, a railroad replica, plus the over 250 locals that play the roles of the early settlers from Fort Griffin and the Albany area.
Over 85 years ago, the Albany High School seniors put on a play that told the true stories of the "Texas Frontier" of how the Indians hunted the prairie, how the settlers were moving west with herds of Longhorn cattle, the Soldiers who protected the civilization and how life was back in the day.
This year's event is live and completely back to normal. However, the Fort Griffin Fandangle is only four days this year. The musical will be at 8:30 PM on June 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24h. Get your tickets early and don't miss the excitement, fun, and history of how the 'West Was Won' as seen in the video below.
