How would you like to have an ancient voodoo mask set stashed in your attic.  It was recently discovered in a mansion in New York that a set of just masks were found.  It's best known as the Steinway Mansion because it was home of the Steinway family until the 1920's.  The Steinway's' of course built their fortune making pianos.  The home was sold to Michael Halberian who lived there for the last 82 years until his death this past December.  His family called in auctioneers to get rid of items in the home which also included some pieces left by the Steinway family.  The were cleaning the attic when they found the little box that included the voodoo masks and little doll on a bed of nails.

Now I don't believe in voodoo or witchcraft but I would find it a little unsettling to open a box with a little wooden doll laying on a bed of nails.  The family has decided to keep the box for now and do more research into it's  history.  I would be curious to find out more about it as well.  It could have been there since the 19th century.
