Join the Fun at Abilene’s Meals on Wheels Plus Sporting Clays Classic

Abilene's Meals on Wheels Plus program feeds well over 1400 people every day. Those being fed live in Abilene and the surrounding towns like Ballinger, Eula, Hamby, Hamlin, Hawley, Hodges, Ovalo, Potosi, Rowena, and Winters. They cannot feed themselves and are either elderly or have disabilities or both.

By participating in or donating to the Meals on Wheels Plus Annual Sporting Clays Classic, you will be helping to feed those in our community who can't feed themselves. The Sporting Clays Classic is Saturday, August 24th, 2024.

The clay shoot will be held at Abilene Clay Sports South range at 1102 E.Spur 707, on Saturday, August 24th, beginning promptly at 8:30 AM and going until the last shooters complete or at 11:30 AM. There will be a couple of raffles and an auction, so get your tickets early and good luck.

An individual entry fee is only $150 per shooter. Each shooter gets 100 targets, a continental breakfast, and a raffle ticket as they are raffling off six guns, along with other items that will be raffled off. Plus, all registered shooters will also get a 16th Annual Sporting Clays Classic event t-shirt and a barbecue lunch catered by The Shed.

Proceeds from this event will help provide home-delivered meals and safety checks for the elderly and adults with disabilities in Abilene and the surrounding area. Meals on Wheels Plus also assists by helping to feed the pets of those they help.

If you can't participate but can help, several multi-level sponsorships and or donation opportunities are still available ranging in price from $100 to $5,000.
