The Abilene Kennel Club’s Dog Show Is About Obedience As Well As Good Looks
A not so well known fact about the Abilene Kennel Club is it's been in the Key City for a long, long time. While I thought it's been around Abilene for about twenty years. The actual truth is that the Abilene Kennel Club has been in existence in the Big Country since its inception in 1958.
Since then it has hosted and or put on more than 50 dog obedience trials or dog shows right here in Abilene. The Abilene Kennel Club (AKC) is not just about the perfect breeding process.
As a matter of fact, the Abilene Kennel Club is assisting those evacuees and animals that are in the path of the View wildfires as they are being brought to the Expo Center for safety.
Additionally, the Abilene Kennel Club is a 501(c) non-profit organization that works toward building a greater awareness of dog training, responsible ownership, and responsible breeding of purebred dogs to preserve each breed's heritage and that breed's original purpose.
Abilene's Kennel Club is an active member of the nationally known American Kennel Club. The latter is associated with the show of all shows for dog breeders known as the Westminster Dog Show.
The best part of the local Abilene Kennel Club is the little-known fact is that all mixed-breed dogs are welcomed to join the AKC and can compete in all activities and performance events hosted by the AKC.
