The 2022 West Texas Fair and Rodeo is September 8th through the 17th at the Taylor County Expo Center. This year Rochelle Johnson, General Manager of the Taylor County Expo Center says that you can expect more food, more music, more entertainment, and definitely more fun.

Sneak-A-Peek kicks things off on Thursday night September 8th and everyone gets in free. You will need an armband to ride all the rides, all you want, all night long. The cost is only $30 and can be purchased on-site. However, the daily armbands are $35 and can be purchased on the midway.

Grounds admission are:

  • 8 adults
  • $4 student's K-College (Monday - Thursday)
  • $11 adult
  • $4 student's K-College (Friday-Sunday)
  • Grounds Admissions does NOT include entry into the PRCA Rodeo
    In honor of our Military Heroes & their immediate family, West Texas Fair & Rodeo will allow FREE GATE ADMISSION all week long to anyone with a valid military I.D. (active, retired or reserves) Special discounted armbands for the carnival may be purchased at Expo Center General Office.

As for the food trucks, they are all going to be open for Sneak-A-Peek as well as all the other vendor displays throughout the fairgrounds. However, all general exhibits, cattle shows, ag exhibits, youth exhibits, and concerts will be going strong beginning Friday, September 9, through Saturday, September 17.

The carnival ride tickets are $1 per ticket, kiddie rides require 2-4 tickets, and all other rides require 3 to 5 tickets per ride. The individual ride tickets must be purchased on the midway.

A Season Carnival Pass (which allows you unlimited rides & admission) is $100, and this one can be purchased online. The carnival midway will be open from 5 PM until 11 PM Monday through Friday and 1 PM until 11 PM on both Saturday and Sunday.

Can-tastic Night is when six empty Coca-Cola cans get you in free Thursday, September 15. Special attractions this year will include the Swifty-Swine races, Tractor Pull, petting zoo, and rodeo performances beginning at 7:30 PM. Live Texas Redirt and Tejano entertainment will be performed on the outdoor H-E-B Stage nightly.

Plus this year's PRCA rodeo promises more excitement with nightly performances on September 9th, 10th, 15th, 16th, and 17th beginning at 7:30 PM in the Taylor Telecom Arena.
