For the 14th time in his amazingly successful career, Tim McGrawis #1. His new album 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' had an enormous debut week, good enough to land McGraw in the top slot on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

That feat speaks for the popularity of Tim McGraw, but there's another point of interest that speaks to the mass acceptance of country music in general: 'Two Lanes of Freedom' has also claimed the top spot on the All-Genre Digital Albums chart, and it came in at No. 2 on the Billboard All-Genre chart.

While I'm sure McGraw is happy for this achievement, an so is his new label, Big Machine Records. But the singer has a lot more projects to tend to, including hosting duties at the TV special 'ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night'. That show will tape on April 8th at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, and will be broadcast on the CBS-TV at a date that hasn't been officially announced yet. But since it's being labeled the 'kick off to the summer tour season', I'm guessing it will be sometime around Memorial Day. Just a hunch.

As far as Tim McGraw's tour plans, the 'The Two Lanes of Freedom Tour' will kick into gear on May 2nd. It includes stops in dozens of U.S. cities in the following months with Brantley Gilbert and Love and Theft joining the country superstar on the tour for the U.S. dates.
