The Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions will be teaming with Tim McGraw to create the televised benefit concert, 'ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night'. The two-hour concert event will air on CBS later this year. Proceeds will go to benefit Operation Homefront, a non-profit organization intended to ease the burden of injured service men and women when they return home.

On the surface, this may seem like a country music special, but it's not. Performers for 'Superstar Summer Night' have yet to be announced, but McGraw was given the authority to hand pick all the guests for the concert, which he promises will bring in artists from country music, pop and rock genres. The concert will also feature visits from actors and other celebrities. This event is intended to be the official kickoff of the 2013 summer tour season.

Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. The program provides cash, emergency food, home repairs, baby supplies, appliance repair, Wounded Warrior Transitional Family Housing and other similar services.

McGraw said in a statement:

"I hope I can help turn the fans on to some of the best live music that will be on the road this summer and really put a spotlight on the ones I know they won't want to miss. I also feel a responsibility to help raise some money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives and all the good work they do. They supported me last summer with our Homefront program and helped me give away a house to a veteran in need in every market we played in, so I'm excited to get some of my friends together and repay the favor."

100% of the proceeds from the event will go directly to the 'ACM Lifting Lives' program, which is the charity formed by the Academy of Country Music. McGraw paired with the goodwill organization for his 2011 Operation Homefrontprogram.

"They supported me last summer with our Homefront program and helped me give away a house to a Veteran in need in every market we played in. I'm excited to get some of my friends together and repay the favor."

Tim McGraw has a lot going on this year. He already has 'Tim McGraw and Friends', his duet compilation in stores, and is set to release his new studio album, 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' on February 5th. It already boasts two hit singles, 'Truck Yeah' and his McGraw's Top 10, 'One of Those Nights'.

CBS Will record 'ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night' on April 8th (the day after the ACM Awards Ceremony) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. General public tickets will go on sale at Noon CT on January 25th at the ACM's official website.
