I watched the show Cupcake Wars the other afternoon, for the first time ever, and found that you can pretty much make anything into a cupcake. Seems the Dunkin' Donuts company is trying the same thing with donuts. They are going to market pork donuts in China.
In one corner, we have Starbucks, the coffee conglomerate that brought the urban coffee shop vibe to people all around the world. All people have to do is look for that green, wavy-haired mermaid to get their caffeine fix.
In the other, we have Dunkin’ Donuts, the coffee brand that “America runs on” and has been around since the first Massachusetts location opened in 1950. It’s not just the location for great coffee, but great donuts, too!
We all know, or should that in business it's all about marketing. Usually those most annoying, stupid commercials are the ones that stick with you. You may hate them but you remember the product and that's what they want. I grew up in the 70's-80's and there were some iconic commercial in that era of advertising. In my opinion more so then than today. They were funny and creative. So here is a look back at some great retro commercials.
