St. Jude Radiothon Raises Nearly $40,000 in 26 Hours
The KEAN 105 and Rock 108 St. Jude Radiothon raised over $38,580 in the 26 hour broadcast Thursday and Friday. The fund-raising is not over, KEAN's sister rock-station Rock 108 is hosting a concert Monday evening at the Lucky Mule, proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Plus you can still donate (for a limited time) online through the KEANradio.com website.
The yearly totals will not be available for at least a month as the ALSAC-St. Jude team continues to gather all the figures from the various fundraisers that are tied to the radio stations. The St. Jude research hospital treats children regardless of their race, religion or their ability to pay. St. Jude hospital is solely responsible for discovering the most successful treatment for A.L.L. (acute lymphoblastic leukemia), which is working at a 96% cure rate.
