Music City USA is known for all the country music that comes from there. Nashville's newspaper, the Tennessean recently started making a list and checking it twice to see which musicians were naughty and which ones were nice. No, this is not some kind of Christmas thing. Twang towns newspaper wanted to list the best pickers in the city. Taking the top slot and "Best Guitarist" in Nashville is not Keith Urban nor is it Brad Paisley, but rather a young cousin of Dolly Parton. His name is Richie Owens

Richie Owens and The Farm Bureau is the name of the group his plays in. Richie plays all sorts of music from the hard driving rock-edged bluegrass to straight out rock. Owens can blend bluegrass with the real deal feel of a hard core Tom Petty sound. Now, he has built up his reputation by working with cousin Dolly Parton, The Kentucky HeadHunters, Leon Russell, The Georgia Satellites, Vince Gill, Steve Forbert, Michael Stipe, The Bangles, Social Distortion and Jason & The Scorchers among others. He even builds guitars for the likes of Nils Lofgren and Bob Weir. Is it no wonder that he is Nashville's top guitarist? Check him out, this guy is good.
