Reba McEntire has hosted the ACM Awards about a dozen times since 1999, her first year of hosting. Last year she split the duties with Blake Shelton. Looks like Blake may be solo-ing the event this year as Reba has said she is not interested in continuing on as a host.

Shelton and McEntire first hosted together in 2011 and had such great chemistry together they were asked to do the co-hosting duties again this year 2012. They had such good chemistry in fact that the show gave CBS a nice jump in ratings.

It has not been announced yet if Blake will host alone this year or if a new co-host will replace Reba.

No worries about Reba disappearing though, she begins a new TV series this year for ABC called 'Malibu Country'. This will be her first TV series since her show 'Reba' was canceled in 2007. I loved that show and it can still be seen in re-runs; hopefully this new show will have as much appeal as 'Reba' did.

'Malibu Country' is a sitcom co-starring Lily Tomlin as Reba's mother Lillie Mae. Reba will again be playing a single mother named Reba whose life is turned upside down by a cheating husband. Sounds much like her previous show but that's really about all that is similar, or so the creator's promise.

The show will debut Friday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
