We’ve seen her in her own television shows, on Broadway, in film and especially on stage, and we’re about to witness Reba McEntire in the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame as well. The country queen, who is already an esteemed member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry, will be inducted into the West Coast hall of fame this year to round out her list of illustrious awards and accolades.

In addition to her induction into the coveted hall of fame, McEntire will also be performing on opening night of the 2012 Hollywood Bowl, which will take place June 22 and be hosted by film and music legend Julie Andrews. While McEntire is perhaps best known for her far-reaching country music career, the ‘I’m a Survivor’ singer also starred in her own sitcom, ‘Reba,’ from 2001 to 2007. She’s about to jump into another TV show with the fall premiere of ‘Malibu Country‘ on ABC.

According to the Hollywood Bowl’s website, the Hall of Fame, founded in 2000, honors ”those consummate creators and performers, who, through their talent and effort, have established themselves as true superstars — with appearances on screen, stage, recordings and at the Bowl — whose contributions to the arts have made them part of the fabric of American culture.” Other music legends who have made it into the hall of fame include Garth Brooks, Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, George Harrison, B.B. King and more.

To add to her sitcom appearances, McEntire recently opened up on two unscripted TV shows — ‘Oprah’s Master Class‘ and the geneology-scouring show ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ On the Oprah show, McEntire spoke vulnerably about the tragic plane crash that killed seven of her band members in 1991. On ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ the country star looked back into her ancestry and was surprised by what she found there.
