H-E-B is offering flu shots for $27 and that includes persons ages 18 and up. The young lady behind the counter informed me that they had run out of youth vaccine and will not be restocking it. The adult vaccine they did have was about to run out and the pharmacist said "we probably won't be getting anymore as the flu season is almost over." CVS Pharmacies said they have the flu-shot for only $31.99 cash price. The wait might be a littel longer as I watched a young couple fill out paper work and wait while the pharmacist contacted and cleared for the flu shot through their insurance company. The pharmacist told me that the couples insurance company pays for the flu shot through the proscription card and not the medical plan. Walgreen's is much like CVS in that they offer the flu-shot all the time at their 24 hour store on South 14th street. The other Walgreen's also offer the flu-shot but during their specified operating hours. While I only checked with two Walgreen's, both pharmacy employees were confident in they had an ample supply of vaccine.
