Mom Sings With Blake Shelton on ‘Time For Me To Come Home’ a Christmas Song [VIDEO]

Blake Shelton had a lot of friends join him on his latest Christmas album titled ‘Cheers It’s Christmas.’ Some of them you will recognize like Michael Buble’, Reba, wife Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson and one in particular might stump you. That one certain Blake Shelton duet partner is his mother, Dorothy Shackleford who also a co-wrote the song with Blake.
According to Blake, “when I asked mom if she would record on the album with me she was pretty much excited, her main concern was that she didn’t want to sound too country, that’s when I told her there’s nothing we can do about that mom.” If you ask me I think she sounds just fine and I think Blake is an awesome son to be the big star that he is and still think “you know what, my mom needs to sing this song with me.” To me that just speaks volumes about the character of the man that he is, because he still includes his momma in his ultra-complicated life. I believe that Blake will reap huge rewards for his ability to be successful and still maintain a family spirit in his busy life.
