Jesse Keith Whitley is barely 23 years old and has the experience of an aged old, road worn musician. One reason for that is that he has been playing and touring with his mother. Jesse is the son of the late Keith Whitley and Lorrie Morgan and if that's not enough to impress you his grandfather is Grand Ole Opry legend George Morgan. Jesse is so talented he has written and recorded a six song EP you'll be hearing soon on KEAN 105.

Everywhere Jesse Keith Whitley performs, he brings packed houses to their feet with crowd chanting ovations. His brand of country, is a mix of traditional country ballads mixed with a little southern rock and hard core country. Now Jesse well knows by being raised in the music business, that it takes a lot of hard work and the help from the right people in the right places, like his producer the legendary James Stroud. His debut EP is titled Kentucky Thunder includes his rendition of his late fathers song Don't Close Your Eyes.
Jesse Keith recently accepted for his late father, induction honors into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. He then went on to emotionally move the audience with a memorable performance of the late Keith Whitley’s, Miami, My Amy.  “I know I have big shoes to fill,” Jesse says, “but I want to do it my own way. I am so grateful that my name has opened doors, but I plan to earn the right to stay inside those doors.”  The young Whitley is writing and working in the studio on his first full album, due for release in later this year. Stay tuned to KEAN 105 for more on Jesse.
