More Information

Kayla Conn

Kayla Conn is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Cypress, Texas. Born with a natural talent for writing and performing, Kayla has been described as fearless and passionate about sharing her craft. She started singing at the age of 3, picked up her dad’s guitar and taught herself to play at the young age of 10, then started writing her own music at 12.

Kayla’s passion to write and perform has her now spending time between Nashville and Texas- working with Grammy Award winning co-writers, such as Billy Dean, Brian White, Karyn Williams, Kyle Hutton, Marcus Eldridge, Trent Willmon, and several more. Grounded by her faith in God, love of family, and fearless nature, Kayla is a humble young lady who makes the most of every opportunity to connect with fellow writers, and to play for a crowd. She recently finished shooting her first music video for her new iTunes release, “Memory for Two”- a song written about her grandfather who recently died of Alzheimer’s. Check out the video here.

Mat Slovacek

Growing up in Texas with two parents that both play musical instruments and sing it’s not hard to see where Mat Slovacek got his passion for music. He sang the national anthem at age 6 and as a kid was always singing in the car and anywhere he could get away with it and led his youth choir at church services. Mat taught himself how to play guitar to further his appeal and has been writing his own songs for years.

At age 16 Mat started auditioning for singing competition like Nashville Star, Can you Duet and more and really testing his vocal skills. He made it to the second round of season 8 of American Idol and then was a stand out on the premiere season of X Factor making it to the top 32 guys out of over 100,000 people that auditioned and appeared and sang on the national TV show. All four judges including Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid loved his audition; put him through to the Los Angeles portion of the competition and LA. Reid even said it was the best they had seen yet.

Mat draws his inspiration from many things and people. People like Eli Young Band for their persistence, Garth Brooks for his live show and Sean McConnell for his incredible writing and performing and when you see and hear Mat you will understand how he has used these and many more to develop himself in many areas.

Now in the process of finishing his first solo CD Mat has already worked with a Grammy award winning producer and another whose credits include Eli Young Band, The Eagles and Josh Abbott. Mat is an extremely hard working, self driven man that has huge goals and dreams and the talent and work ethic to get him there. Check out Mat’s cover of the Eli Young Band’s hit song, ‘Say Goodnight’:

Greg Bates

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Greg Bates was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, the heart, soul, and center of country music. He grew up with country music, from songwriter rounds to charity nights to local dances, and he quickly developed the chops as a writer and singer to fit right in with that city’s long and cherished musical history.

Influenced by George Strait, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, and Dwight Yoakam, the so-called new traditionalists of the ’90s, Bates absorbed it all while also working toward a degree in music business at Belmont University, playing his first showcase when he was a freshman. By the time he graduated, Bates had already been meeting with publishers interested in his songs. A true product of Music City, Bates understood the craft and benefits involved in writing a good song, and he focused there, even though he had evolved into a very good singer and performer with a winning stage presence and a growing fan base, enough to earn him a debut appearance at the Grand Ole Opry in April of 2012. With Bates now signed to Republic Nashville, his debut single, “Did It for the Girl,” hit the airwaves later that same month, with a full album slated to follow.
