If you enjoy watching ‘The Voice’ as much as I do, you may be uncomfortable with all the talk about the show changing up the cast and messing with the chemistry they’ve created. Well, here’s some good news on that front. There’s finally news of coach who is sticking around beyond Season 3.

Blake Shelton was the first ‘The Voice’ coach to cast doubt about whether he would return to the show after the current season wraps up. In fact, it was pretty much understood that Shelton would not be back for Season 4. Apparently, that’s all changed.

Despite the fact that Shelton has voiced his complaints publicly about the decision to take only the summer off between Seasons 2 and 3. He believes that being tied up by the show may make it impossible for him to maintain his day job as a country superstar.

"I don't know how much longer I'm even going to do it. If we want to tour, there’s not a chance of that doing back to back seasons. That’s not acceptable to me.”

Still, it appears for now that Blake has made the decision to get cozy in his ‘The Voice’ chair for another season. He is confirmed to return for Season 4 along with Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine, while fellow coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will be taking the next season of the NBC hit off to handle other commitments.

Usher and Shakira have agreed to keep Aguilera and Green's seats warm for Season 4, but both original judges plan to return to 'The Voice' for its fifth season.

Maybe Blake was threatening to leave the show to negotiate more money from NBC. Maybe he really was feeling a time crunch. Maybe he just wanted to stick it to 'The X Factor' judge/creator Simon Cowell in the ratings. Either way, it's a good thing to have Shelton back in the big red chair. His personality is a big reason for the success of the program in the first place.

As for his music career? It doesn't seem to have suffered in any way. Blake has received five CMA Awards nominations, including the two for Song of the Year, and a nod for the most coveted Entertainer of the Year. We'll find out what awards - if any - Shelton wins November 1st on ABC.
