The trees and flowers start blooming, the days get longer, everyone wants to be outside; there just seems to be more energy in the Spring time. However, while all of that is nice the real reason I love this time of year is because of baseball and basketball. As I sit here on the eve of our St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Radiothon I am thinking about how I will tell everyone just how great this hospital and it's people are. It's actually hard to put it into words; I wish I could just take everyone there for one day to experience it for themselves. If I could do that we would never have to ask for money again it would just be something everyone would do without prompting. However, I can't do that so I'll try to give you a reason or two here, as to why I think this is the best charity to donate your hard earned money to.

As some of you know this past summer I started taking cake decorating classes, I have now taken up actual baking. I have recently been making pies and cupcakes. It seems cupcakes are the new rage. However, if you buy cupcakes from a bakery or specialty store they can be quite expensive. So, I figured I should learn to make more than just plain yellow or chocolate from a box. Maybe I can even make a little side money doing them for friends and family.

About a month ago some friends of mine adopted 2 little boys from the Ukraine, brought them to the U.S. and gave them a forever home. I found, watching their journey, that it's not just the kids that benefit from adoption but the new parents do as well. No matter what the reasons behind the adoption choice are everyone seems to win.

Most of you know that I was diagnosed with breast cancer just one year ago. I went in for my first ever mammogram at the age of 40, that led to a sonogram, another mammogram and finally a biopsy that determined the lump in my left breast was cancerous. Maybe if I had had this app and video I would have gotten my mammogram earlier.

Duck Dynasty returns this Wednesday with their new season and Dancing with the Stars new cast will be announced tomorrow morning on ABC's Good Morning America.
