I think this is the best fathers day gift idea ever, a motorized recliner that hauls booty. Dad will never want to get out of it. Imagine the possibilities, sit and watch television, sleep in it and then without missing a beat dad is off to work in his new motorized recliner. While this particular recliner has only been spotted on China's roadways a time or two, I hope it's a prototype of things to come.

The West Texas Youth Football Association will be accepting applications for the 2013 season Saturday, June 15th at the Lee Complex at North 10th and Pioneer Drive in Abilene. This is the last call for sign-ups for this years season. Boys who want to play football and girls who would like to be cheerleaders are encouraged to attend. There will be several different age groups for both players and cheerleaders.

A pair of Dachshunds that their owner turned in, in Sweetwater are here in Abilene now and are looking for a loving and understanding home that knows the needs and behavior of two very well behaved Dachshunds. The darker brown one is male and the all lighter brown one is a female and both can be found at the Abilene Animal Control Shelter.
The 6th Annual Dachshund Races and "Rescued Dog Reunion" will take place July 18th at Festival Gardens by the Abilene Zoo. This is every dogs show, not just the ones with papers! Come show off your rescued dog in the show ring before the Dachshund Races. Dress up and dress up your dog for our Costume Contest.

Kenny Chesney has officially kicked off summer by releasing his latest single "When I See This Bar." This is the second song released from his "Life On A Rock" album. Kenny admits that this song and all the songs from his 14th studio album are not exactly brand new, but rather songs he's been toting around (and working on) since 2006. This song however, according to Chesney was more so inspired by some John Mellencamp chords.
Joe Nichols continues to climb the country music charts with his latest single "Sunny and 75." The song is also the inspiration for his 2013 summer tour. Nichols says "my fans will get real excited about "Sunny and 75" because it's different for me but it sounds like me. The track is a very rocking track." Joe didn't stop there he went on to admit "if I could imitate Journey, this is my best impression, I hope the fans will like my more progressive sound."
The "Healing In The Heartland" Benefit Concert organized by Blake Shelton aired live on KEAN 105 Wednesday. The official numbers are just now coming in. Country music fans called in, and they did so in record numbers. The call volume was so heavy at times that Blake Shelton reminded listeners and television viewers to be patient and keep trying to call in. Nonetheless, the donations keep coming in.
